## Optional visit statistics

We ask before loading Google Analytics. Until you choose **Allow**, we do not load its tag or send analytics events. Choosing **Decline** leaves the site fully usable. You can reopen **Statistics choice** in the footer to change your choice when statistics are enabled.

If you allow statistics, Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish browsers and measure visits. It receives the page path, the referring page without its query or fragment, and browser and device information. We exclude URL queries, fragments, site search terms, Ask questions and conversations. We do not add a user ID or enable Google Signals or advertising personalization.

Your choice is stored in your browser. Withdrawing it stops future measurement and removes this site's Analytics cookies; it does not erase statistics already collected by Google. [Google explains how Analytics handles data](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245).

## Ask and browser preferences

Ask currently runs in demo mode. Your questions and conversation stay in the current browser tab and are not sent to Analytics or a model provider. Theme and reading preferences are also stored in your browser.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and loads fonts from Google Fonts. Those services receive ordinary web requests under their own policies. Analytics is an additional, optional service.
